Project Summary

SAIKRIS TECHDAIRIES SDN BHD (the Company), a Malaysian incorporated Special Purpose Vehicle, has embarked on a business venture to disrupt the dairy industry in Malaysia and South East Asia mainly targeting the way and manner the industry has been driven for the past 50 years.

The Company intends to break the stigma that the heat and humidity are factors that cannot be controlled in the South East Asian dairy farming industry and thus the need to import powdered milk and mixing it with water, selling as recombined milk to meet local demand.

Vietnam and Thailand have led the charge to change that perception and have successfully transformed their dairy farming industry. The self-sufficiency of these countries has grown exponentially from below 5% in the 1970s to above 50% today, while Malaysia is still languishing below 5% since the 1970s. The Company is aiming to break the glass ceiling by introducing the concept of robotics in order to achieve a breakthrough in the local dairy farming industry.

Through its preparation as well as research in the past 5 years, the Company has been able to identify a highly viable business model to implement in the Asian dairy farming industry. These initiatives have been funded by the Company’s Promoter.

Robotic Milking technology has been used in Europe since the early 1990s and now has found a following in Canada and the United States of America. The Promoter has done enough research to ascertain that robotics is the way forward in Asia.

With the help of GEA, a Public Listed Company in Germany who is a pioneer in the agriculture robotics industry, the Company aims to be the milk brand of choice for Malaysians overtaking the incumbent players in five years.

The issue of milk quality and farming hygiene will be of utmost importance with the Company adopting European standards to ensure Malaysians get the best at local prices.

The Company has secured the land on a 30-year lease, secured GEA Germany as the technology vendor and is currently re-negotiating a 10-year contract worth over RM200 million with a downstream multinational company.

The R&D and preparation stage for the past 5 years which cost over RM5.0 million, has been seed funded solely by the company’s Promoter. The project has kicked off as from February 2022 with land being cleared and levelled in preparation for construction. The Promoter has broken the project into Phase 1 of RM20 million and Phase 2 of RM40 million due to financial considerations.

This proposal has been prepared by the team at SaiKris TechDairies Sdn Bhd through experiences in the last 5 years gained via through our study travels to established farms and suppliers in Asia, Europe, Australia and New Zealand while engaging with the industry players. 5 years of work is encapsulated in this proposal.
